LISA'S REVIEW: Christmas Unplugged (Joy Nash)

Title: Christmas Unplugged

Author: Joy Nash

Format: Ebook

ASIN: B00GIUAN6C

Summary:

2 Brothers + 2 Sisters + 0 Electricity = 1 Unforgettable Holiday

Casey's got a ton of work to do over the holidays. But her sister’s stuck with a broken heart and a nonrefundable vacation for two, so Casey agrees to celebrate Christmas at a rustic Adirondack lodge—as long as she can bring her laptop and work through the festivities.

Matt’s happy to take a break from his high-pressure city job to celebrate Christmas at his off-the-grid childhood home. He and his brother are helping with their aunt's Romance of Christmas weekend, even though the couples-only guest list means all work and no play.

When one of the “couples” unexpectedly turns out to be two sisters, Matt’s brother calls dibs on the hot one—leaving Matt to deal with a quirky, work-obsessed woman who he's sure would rather get cozy with an electrical outlet than with him.

Good thing there’s no electricity at Dutch Gorge Lodge. Because sometimes you have to turn out the lights to see what’s right in front of you.

Review:

A quick little read. It's a fast paced romance that doesn't really let you get to know Emma and Jake, but focuses on Matt and Casey.

It was fun to read and I enjoyed the quick read! I loved the characters and the story line. A weekend of no electronics, snowed in with a hot guy, all your needs taken care of by the lodge, who wouldn't love this situation? A great little holiday read!

Summary:

It was a fresh start, and as a recent graduate from the Charleston School of Law, it was a way to pad her resume with a high powered New York Law firm. But most of all, it was away from him.

The last thing she needed was another relationship, especially since her devastating break up with her master, Benton Frazier. Burned one too many times, this submissive was ready to put her past behind her. She just never figured on Carlton.

Liz could have easily taken a local job offer in Charleston. However, since her brother waited for her to graduate, it was now his time to pursue his fashion career in New York City. Now that her parents were gone, Palmer was all she had. Everything seemed to be falling into place until she met him. Now, all she can think about is Carlton.

Carlton was dreamy. Handsome, rugged, and well dressed. Deep brown eyes the color of chocolate, and the silken voice with a hint of an English accent that simply drove her crazy. But she soon finds out that Carlton is much more than he appeared to be.

Although not her first choice, New York did offer her a way to pad her resume while her brother completed his education. Besides, getting away from her relationship with Benton Frazier was just what the doctor ordered.

Review:

I love a short that is so interesting you get completely lost in the story! Only a few pages to read and you are so caught up that you hate it to end. This is one of those stories for me.

I can;t wait to read on and see what happens next in Liz and Carlton's romance. Carlton is a very interesting character I want to read more about. I love that thought it was predictable it was still totally different from what you predict! Cooper did a great job and I can't wait to read on!

Review:

This is an ok short! I like it but I don't love it. It is very predictable and has too little background on the characters. this was also easily put down and i want a book I can't put down.

Alexa is the only character I could connect with. i wanted more from the other characters. I will be reading on because despite the predictability I liked the story and want to know more!

Review:

This book was a fairly new experience for me. i have not really read much about male/male relationships. I have read several books with side characters with male/male relationships but not any books with this the sole focus. Not really my cup of tea, but the story itself was really good.

The love between Mathew and Aaron was strong and I enjoyed their story. I was rooting for them to work it out! For my introduction to this genre i was really impressed!

Review:
The perfect ending to Lilly and Kyle's story! And to find out there will be a fourth book! Wow! I am so excited, but back to this book...
I think I might die of happiness here! I was so happy to read this story. Not as much action or pain and loss, but Kyle finally lets us in. I found myself ignoring phone calls and not eating to get through this book. I couldn't put it down! On a rather serious book high at the moment! :)
I am completely caught up in these characters. They are well written and full of life. I felt like I was right there with them as they continued to build their lives and relationship from the struggles of their past. I can't wait for Abbey and Jason's story!

Review:

I think this might be one of the best stories I have read in years. I loved the characters and the story line was amazing. I was completely thrown off guard! Very unpredictable!

Even with all the crazy plot twist and drama that kept me on the edge of my seat, I found myself laughing hysterically at the witty banter between the characters. In fact this is one thing that takes a good story to great.

I was in love with entire story! Wade, Pete and Luke are wonderful. The kind of me all girls want to fall for. Mel, Hailey, Agnes and Cara are absolutely hilarious! Throw in a slew of other small town characters and the story really comes to life! I just loved it and the ending was perfect!

Review:

I loved this book!!! I have been a fan of Wulfe from the start, so finally getting his story was great.

I was also super excited about Zeeland becoming a Feral. I loved Zee's story, his is what got me started reading this series. So to see his dream come true was amazing. I hope that Vhyper is the only main one left with out a mate. I hope he finds a mate too, and soon.

I am in love with this series. Wulfe and Nat got the perfect ending. I hope the series goes on. This was written with a sort of finale. I hope it goes on but if not it's one of the best series I have ever read. I highly recommend this wonderful series!
