Jerri Hines writes under three pen names: Colleen Connally, Carrie James Haynes and Jerri Hines.

One can find other historical series under her name of Jerri Hines. She has a historical romance series, the Tides of Charleston: The Judas Kiss, the Promise, and Another Night Falls with Whiskey Creek Press. She also has a historical fiction series the Winds of Betrayal: The Cry For Freedom, Embrace of the Enemy, Kiss of Deceit, and coming 2014, The Heavens shall Fall.

Colleen Connally is one of the pen names of Jerri Hines. Under Colleen Connally, she has written a historical romance series, Secret Lives, which is riddled with romantic suspense and a touch of paranormal. Review: 

This box set of three books was very good! It was very well written and I love the time period! The characters were great but the pain each suffered is terrible. If you are looking for happily ever after you are not going to find it in this box set. I  like the first and third book better than the second. I liked Marcus' character until I found out he is married. I hated what happened to William and the kid's father, John. So much tragedy, the title is very fitting. It ended with a bit of a cliff hanger so I am eager for more in book four. I am hoping for the HEA! Great series!

Review:

This is one of my favorite murder mysteries. Clark is amazing and I love this book. The suspense and mystery leaves you on the edge of your seat.

If you have never come across this book you must pick it up. Nancy's story is captivating and impossible to put down. The pain and loss is so real. I was so caught up in this book it was amazing.

The story was heartbreaking but the ending is great. I love the twist and turns, the suspense and drama. This is one talented writer.

Review:

This book left me begging for more. It also left me confused. The story it's self was good, I just want to know how I ends. With will, with Dom and Minuette, and with Elizabeth. So many questions left unanswered.

The book was very interesting throughout. I loved Dom's character, tormented, loyal, and in love. will was a great depiction of a young king who gets what he wants.

The book covers a lot of time and reveals a lot of information. An interesting read full of historical characters. he book is believable making I so intriguing. I must read the next book to get answers to questions left unanswered. I can't wait until he true villain is revealed. Eager to read on!

Review:

I read this book when I was in high school. It was my first real mystery. I absolutely loved it. The crime, the suspense, it was amazing.

This is the story that got me loving books with those aspects. A great read. I highly recommend for any mystery lover. The reference to ten little Indians is great. A favorite read of mine.

Review:

The 3rd book in the series and the final one. I have loved these books since a child. Emily's life inspired me as well as the other characters in the series. I love the ups and downs, the friendships and the romances. I loved Teddy's character and the love with Emily but Dean is my favorite character. In fact I named my son after him and he is turning out to be just as sensitive and heroic as Dean's character.

I adore these books and can not wait to introduce my kids to them. I loved this whole series and recommend to all buy especially to mothers out there who want to get their girls into reading.

These books did it for me. My all time favorite series. I love that it is not all happiness but more real life. I also love the fact that it still gives you the ending you want but don't believe you will get. Great books.

Review:

This review is very hard for me to write. I had a very had time getting into this book at first. I had not read the previous two installments, which could have accounted for this. Still this book seemed to lack something I later realized was the action. It picked up a little after half way through.

 I really enjoy reading about this time era. I really enjoy Queen Elizabeth's story as a whole. So I was excited to find out that this book took place during this time. I was even more excited that the author brought this fiction to life around historical events. It is always fun to read things like this. I did enjoy the mystery and the complexity of the story. It definitely held depth.

So overall the story line was great, but once the action picked up it was a real page turner. The author did well with all the historical references. I enjoyed the read. I might even consider reading the previous installments.
