Nicholas Argeneau was once a successful hunter who went after rogue vampires who break the immortal law. Except no one has mentioned his name in the last fifty years, not since he turned into a rogue himself. But once a hunter, always a hunter. When Nicholas sees a bloodthirsty sucker terrifying a woman, it’s second nature for him to come to her rescue. He had no idea he would also want to kiss her senseless…

One minute Josephine Willan is taking in a breath of fresh air, and the next sharp fangs are heading straight for her neck! Luckily a gorgeous stranger saves her life . . . and gets locked up for his troubles. Can a man who kisses so lovingly and passionately really have committed the crime he’s accused of? Jo isn’t so sure…and she’s determined to prove that this renegade hunter is worth fighting for.

Review:

This is one of the best Argeneau books written. We loved this story. It features as both an Argeneau novel and a Rogue Hunter novel. You would think after 12 book the series would go down hill. So many times we have seen this happen. It's always bitter sweet when this happens, but we can honestly say we hope this series goes on and on. Sands has done a phenomenal job creating a world that is rich and intriguing. The bad boy of the family, Nicholas, meets Jo.

Jo is on of our favorite female characters so far in the Argeneau series. She is human and spunky. We love her spirit and the devotion she shows to Nicholas. The story is one very long suspenseful romance. The other characters are also really great. We love Lucian's solution while solving the mystery of Nicholas's problems.

We get a lot of Bricker in this story and We love us some Bricker. This action packed romance is a must read in the Argeneau series. Lots of Argeneau history comes to surface and this is a juicy read!

Summary:

SWM - "Lucern." Successful biographer of family, books recently categorized as "paranormal romance." Something of a recluse. Hates crowds, aggressive women. Doesn't like sunbathing, garlicky dinners or religious symbols. Likes old-fashioned values; spicy Mexican dishes; warm, nice-smelling neck; and plump red lips. Stronger than ten men and can vanish in the blink of an eye. Currently unaware he's seeking a woman to share eternity.

SWF - "Kate C. Leever." Newest editor of Romance at Roundhouse Publishing. Perky, fun. Has recently discovered a legacy author just dying to be broken out. In fact, her career could take off from it. (The tall, dark, handsome writer just needs to be taken to several romance conventions and introduced to his fans . . . and stopped from acting so strange in public.) Dislikes "difficult, rude, obnoxious, pig-headed writers." Currently she's met the man of her wildest dreams.

OH, DEAR.

Review:

We love Lynsay Sands! She is one of our favorite authors and the Argeneau series is also a favorite for us. We have completely read this series out of order! Neither of us typically does this! But we will blame Lisa's husband for that... Either way Sands does so great that it doesn't really matter. This book is another great by Sands.

As an Argeneau we know it will be great and full of romantic comedy. Sands does not disappoint. Lucern is the oldest son of Margurite and the grumpiest. He maybe a sexy vampire author but he is a total recluse. (It is also so fun when an author writes about an author)

Kate comes in his life and is a total spit fire. Who turns his world upside down. We love the back and forth between the two and the comedy in their interactions. When Kate shows up on his door step (literally) Lucern is beyond cranky. This book is so fun! The book conference scenes were hilarious.

The whole story is one fun ride on their romantic rollarcoaster. As usual Sands has a bunch of great side characters we love, a sexy Argeneau, romance, comedy, and a little drama to make the perfect read. Any book that can make you laugh out loud is a great read!!! Definitely one of our favorite reads so far!
