EXCERPT

He kisses
me hard and hungry and spins me facing away from him. Luca pushes me against
the glass window and pins my hands above my head.
A shudder resounds through me as my hands
contact the cold glass, and he gazes at me in the window reflection. “Keep them
there,” he orders. My hips are pulled back slightly, my back arches. Luca’s
fingertips glide down my spine. Palming my behind, he massages the swell of my
ass in both hands. The heat radiating off him is absorbed by my back as he
leans in close to kiss the shell of my ear. The tips of his thumbs touch my
entrance. Going down into a kneeling position, his nose traces down my back,
stopping twice to leave a rough kiss in his wake. Luca bites both cheeks and a
low growl leaks from his lips.
He starts licking me from front to back
with the flat of his tongue. All the while his hands keep cupping my behind. “I
want to hear you, Fallon.” His tongue traces my folds, the inside of my thighs,
the bundle of nerves are being sucked into his warm and wet mouth. And finally
his tongue moves inside me, licking my inner walls.
I scream
his name repeatedly and throw my head back when his tongue pleasures me into
climax.
Unfastening his pants and pushing down his
boxer briefs, Luca seats himself in me roughly. “I’m always so fucking hard for
you. Fuck, Fallon,” he groans. My earlobe is caught between his teeth as his
hands hold my wrists against the window.
My back
curves more to take him in deep.
Luca
tangles his right hand in my hair and turns my head to thrust his tongue in my
mouth, meeting mine, compelling me. A low, rasping sound escapes him while he
keeps up his punishing strokes until he spills inside me. He holds himself
still, our breathing regulates, and his lips graze my shoulder. As he pulls out
leisurely – tightening his grip around my locks, forcing my stare forward –
Luca takes my left hand and
strokes his come around with our entangled fingers. “Rub it in, Fallon,” he
whispers in a hoarse tone against my ear while locking eyes with me in the
window.

LEANN'S REVIEW: Fixing Justice (Suzanne Halliday) Justice Brothers #2

Sometimes the last thing you need is exactly what you get…
He’s the sexy 007 type complete with tuxedo and an icy blue stare.
She’s a tom-boy waif who’s more nerd than goddess.

When Tori Bennett ends up at the Justice Brothers compound in the Arizona desert,
she’s running away from an epic scandal with her in the starring role as whistleblower.
She’d had enough of powerful, arrogant men, and just wanted to
fly off the radar for a while and get her confidence back.

Draegyn St. John was all that and then some…and he knew it.
As if being a trust-fund kid with the blonde good looks of a Nordic god wasn’t enough,
he was also a Special Forces Vet with a serious attitude. Women fell at his feet.
It wasn’t even a challenge. Until Victoria Bennett comes along and rocks
his high and mighty world in a very big way.

Sparks fly each time they meet. When an agency crisis throws them together on an out-of-town trip, their business relationship becomes personal in a hurry. For Drae, it’s an itch he needs to scratch and for Tori, it’s a flat out case of lust. No harm, no foul, right?

Find out what happens when her smart mouth and refusal to take anybody’s crap meets his powerful arrogance. When what happened in Vegas, didn’t stay in Vegas, everyone is in for one shock after another!

Review:

Wow oh Wow! I loved this book. If you are an Alpha Male kind of girl then this is your book, because Drae is 100% alpha. Tori is his perfect counter. I love that she can just put him right in his place. This book was a really fun read for me. I really enjoyed all the humor and witty dialogue.

I love characters that have chemistry that jumps off the page. Drae and Tori have it in spades. This book brought on a wide range of emotions and I loved it. I would have like to know more about the ending, but this is a series so I am sure I will get to see more. A great read with a perfect story line. Loved the Vegas aspect. It was great.

He will put a tiny piece of my broken heart, back together.

Review:

What do you say about a book that leaves you so emotionally drained you don't have much left? A part of me wants to hate this book. A part of me wants to throw things across the room, but there are moments of triumph in this read that you can't deny.

The characters are amazing, and by amazing I mean they are so real that you lose yourself. I often say that I can relate to a character. That is not true for this book. I was the character as I read. There was no relating, because Jewel pulled me so far into this story that I couldn't get out. Its the first time I have read a book that I truly do not relate personally to the story, but was caught up so much in it that I couldn't get away.

How do you rate or review a book that won't let you go? Like I said there were moments in this read that I truly despised. I loved the ending. It took a while to get there and it was a painful road, but it was fitting. I am eager to read on in this series. I want to read Liam, Max, Kelly and Keanu's story. I am even a little curious about Lena's story.

Capturing the Earl’s Love Excerpt

Lord Rupert Stanforth, Earl of Morton, watched his sister, Rowena, approach.

She was smiling, and her friend, Meredith Divine, clung to her arm.

His gaze briefly passed over the other girl. He was increasingly convinced Miss Divine only kept Rowena as a friend because Rowena was the perfect foil to show off Miss Divine’s more striking looks. Her auburn curls glowed in the candlelight beside Rowena’s lacklustre, light-brown locks.

Miss Divine was also slightly taller, and a little fuller in the bust.

While they crossed the room, she appeared to press as close as she could to Rowena’s side, letting Rowena’s less impressionable looks make Miss Divine’s stand out among the white-clad debutantes in the ballroom.

“Rupert...”

His eyes focused on his sister once more. She was out of breath, having just completed a country dance, and her cheeks were flushed, while her eyes glowed, expressing the fun she was having.

“I want to introduce Meredith to Ellen. Will you escort us and do the honours? Meredith is dying to meet her.”

Mmm, now what is this little game? He glanced at Miss Divine only to receive a very bright but subtly restrained smile.

She was trying to win his approval.

He was not interested. He wished nothing to do with the little schemer. Her father was in some sort of trade. Rupert had not even wished Rowena to befriend Miss Divine, let alone become so thick with her. The two of them were inseparable; or rather, Miss Divine hung about Rowena like a moth around a flame. Except Miss Divine was no moth. Her beauty was far too vibrant.

Rupert was Rowena’s guardian. Their father had passed on long ago, so Rupert was responsible for keeping his sister safe. It fell to him to help her choose her friends wisely. Yet the more he disparaged Miss Divine, the more Rowena favoured the girl. He’d ceased his complaints. Their friendship had still blossomed. He’d hoped it would wither and die back. It had not—yet.

He expected Miss Divine to make a wrong step soon though, one which would open his sister’s eyes, and end this arm-in-arm behavior.

Excerpt
The lights were still off. I knew he was following me. I kept walking until I reached the back of the restaurant, where the small corridor for the bathrooms was; I didn’t want everyone to hear us.
“What the fuck was that?” I asked.
“What?” he answered.
“Are you serious?” I asked, giving him a knowingly look. “Lukas, you practically peed all over me.”
He smirked. “And?” he waited.
“So you’re my boyfriend now? You mind telling me when this happened?” I threw my hands up into the air, letting them drop by my side.
“It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m not going to let some cocky kid get in my way,” he said gruffly.
“Oh. My. God. You’re insane!” I huffed.
“Since I’ve met you? Yes, I’ve become insane!” he barked. “You make me fuckin’ crazy, do you understand that? What did you think I was going to do? Sit back and watch you flirt with that boy out there?” He pointed to the direction of the terrace. “You are mine! Get that through your head already.”
I seriously thought I could have heard myself blink. One blink, two blinks. I stood there stupefied. “Yours?” I whispered.
“Yes, mine,” he growled. He plunged his two hands around me, grabbing my ribs, and lifting me so I could be eye level to him. “Mine!” he bit out. His voice was so low, so desperate, that it made my core quiver. He leaned his head in fast, claiming my mouth.
At first, it was a hard-pressed kiss, but my body slowly loosened up under his immense pressure, letting him in. My lips gradually parted and I had my first taste of Lukas. It was simply sinful, like I had been craving him all my life, but hadn’t known it until I tasted him on my lips. His kiss was powerful and demanding, his tongue teasing and controlling. “Mine,” he repeated against my lips. The kiss became frantic as if he was making sure I understood him. My body naturally yielded to him. I could feel every single goose bump on my skin. My whole body was a live wire. He pulled himself away, looking down at me, letting me slide down the wall slowly, his hands cupping my face.
“Breathe,” he whispered, “just breathe.” I lost all sense around me. “Alexia?” he whispered again close to my ear, making my already weakened body wither under his intense voice.

LEANN'S REVIEW: Forget Me Not (Sarah Daltry) Flowering Series

Sarah Daltry's Flowering Series
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MaIqf8_K1E&w=853&h=480]
Forget Me Not (Lily’s story)
young pretty kissing wedding couple against sky
18+ New Adult contemporary
This is a coming of age story, but it isn’t always sweet and innocent. If dirty talk, bedroom toys, and threesomes offend you… this is not your book.
“No one tells you when you start school just how homesick you will be, or how hard it will be to start life over with no direction and no friends or family. No one says that becoming your own person is terrifying.”

I never wanted anything but Derek, my brother’s best friend. When I chose a college, it didn’t seem to matter that he would be an hour away. We could survive it. After all, we were in love. But almost immediately, things change between us. I blame myself. Maybe I’m just not sure how to be a girlfriend and independent.

Life seems to be getting away from me – and then there’s Jack, the guy down the hall. He’s rude and vulgar and my parents would be shocked by him, yet every single time I see him, I feel like I’m being pulled toward him. It’s physical, sure, but there’s something in Jack’s eyes – and I want to know him.

I know I don’t always make the right choices, and I’m the only person at fault when everything falls apart. How do I tell Derek, the guy who was supposed to be everything, that I don’t feel like fighting for him anymore? And do I run to Jack, when I know his past is way too much for me to handle when I’ve just turned 19? Finally, where do I end up in all of this? Can I be more than just someone else’s idea of what I should be?

The movie is awful, but it’s fun spending time with people who are easygoing and, when Don suggests going to Denny’s afterward, I agree without even
asking Derek. When we get in his car, I worry that he is disappointed, though.

“Are you mad?” I ask him.

He shakes his head. “Of course not. Lily, I love you and I’ll be there for you, but you need to have other people. I wouldn’t expect you to demand that I have no one at school.”

“Do you have a lot of friends at school?”

“Yeah,” he admits. “There’s a group Jon and that I spend a lot of time with. If you come up sometime, I’ll introduce you. Although, if you stay with me, you know what that means...”

“Yeah. Hands off all weekend - under penalty of death by older brother.” I laugh. Jon would obviously never hurt either of us, but I still don’t think it would be kosher to get too frisky with Derek in his room.

I debate about asking the question I know I shouldn’t, one I have never worried about, but for some reason need an answer to now. I survived my entire senior year by not asking this question; now that we’re on the same page, I feel like I need to know. I have to know what I’m facing.

“This group. Are there girls in it?” I ask.

Derek pulls into the parking lot at Denny’s, puts the car in park, and turns to look at me. “Three. Alyssa, Maya, and Jodie. Jon had a thing with Alyssa for a while, but nothing serious came of it. And stop it. I see the jealousy brewing. They are all homely and hideous and you’re the only girl I’m interested in.” He kisses my forehead and I know it’s supposed to make me feel better, but it only makes me feel like a kid. I had moments over the past year when I worried that Derek would think I was too young, but now I have these three women to picture and I don’t want to picture them.

Although I was a virgin when I slept with Derek the first time, he wasn’t. I don’t know what he did at school before we got together, but he had plenty of girlfriends in high school and I can’t imagine he was celibate for those first few months last year. We’ve never talked about it; although I know how many people he’s been with, I don’t know for sure who they are or when he was with them. I can’t bear to know. I hate thinking of him with another girl so close to when we started dating.

I’ve managed not to be the jealous type for almost a year, despite him being away, although I can’t pretend that it doesn’t bother me if I think too much about it. I know it’s hypocritical, since my new group of friends includes guys, but I can’t help it. I feel like Derek’s going to realize sooner or later that I’m not enough for him.

We go into the restaurant, because I don’t want to think about Alyssa, Maya, and Jodie; it is easier to fake it with company. Everyone is in high spirits and I try to let the worry slip away. There is not a lot I can do anyway. I’m pretty sure that Derek has been faithful. Right now, all I can do is trust him. As hard as that is, I have no reason to think that he would cheat. Still, I can’t stop picturing him in bed with someone else.

Review:

I enjoyed this read and getting to know the beginning of Jack and Lily. I know that it will be a story that sticks with me always. A series that I will probably pick up again to revisit. The characters are strong and well written. The kind of characters you get inside and live the book with them.

Overall the story line is good. The love triangle I find is often over used in books, but Daltry makes this one work and puts her own spin to it. I really enjoyed the read. The realness of the story drags you in. I am not a fan of Derek. I know the author probably set it up that way but I wasn't a fan from page one. I don't know why really I felt that way, but I was glad to meet Jack.
