BANNER2

synopsis
Who makes YOUR choices?
"I was once the type of person who was impressed by starlight; the type of person who would dance beneath glass ceilings and let the world swim in its loveliness. The sky reminds me of the parties we used to throw - parties like the one last night. The memories bring back the trill of harps and endless ripples of satisfied laughter. Now, though, when I try to recall what I felt, all I hear is screaming."

In a world ravaged by war and oppressive forces of evil, a princess must fight to claim her bloodright and save her people.

When the princess, Alondra, falls for the beautiful, blue eyes of a hooded stranger, it awakens in her a taste for freedom and an escape from her duty.

But her parents have other plans; they have a kingdom to protect and Alondra must marry to ensure the peace between nations. Only what happens when your parents choose a cold-hearted assassin as your betrothed?

As lies, illusions, and long hidden vendettas surface, the princess has to confront a very secret history. One that makes her realize that she not only risks losing her liberty, but also everything she has known and loved.

Review:

Oh I just loved this story (and I know I sound like an old woman gushing over children), but wow! I can't believe how caught up I was. This book took me a little by surprise and I loved it! I was a little curious about the book but honestly just thought it would be another supernatural book like all the others. I was so wrong.

the story line was action packed and fun, yet holds plenty of mystery to continue the series. The characters were relatable and full of life. An all around great read. I loved Maddie's character. Her strong personality and tough back story really brought the story together. Pair her with Jon and its absolutely perfect. I also loved Mack. He doesn't feature too much in the story but when he does I love it!

One moment I was smiling at the humor behind the personalities of the characters and the next I was sitting on the edge of my seat desperate to know what happened next. I wish all reads surprised me and captured me the way this story did!

Review:

I have only read graphic novels based on book I've read up until this point. This one was OK and had pretty art work, but was just lacking the proper story set up for me.

It was a lot more sex than story. I also find it strange that Vlad's character is set up to where he never remembers the sex. Its a good fantasy world with a lot of potential but lacked a lot for me.

About the Author

Erika Wilde (aka Janelle Denison) is the USA Today bestselling author of over 50 contemporary romances for multiple print publishers.

So, why the new pen name?

As Janelle Denison I’ve always written sexy books, but lately my writing has taken on more erotic elements that I wanted to keep separate for readers because not everyone likes their reading material on the spicier, kinkier side of romance.   However, please be assured that even as Erika Wilde, you will still get an emotionally layered story with characters you’ll care about and fall in love with.   That is always my goal, whether I’m writing straight contemporary romances, or more erotically charged stories.

Currently, I’m working on The Marriage Diaries and making sure that Dean and Jillian enjoy exploring the more erotic side to their marriage.  The series will be on-going, with no foreseeable ending as of right now, for as long as readers want to be voyeurs to Dean and Jillian’s sizzling new relationship.

I’m also planning a spin-off series in the future, featuring the hot military men that work security for Dean at Noble and Associates.  My next book, THE INVITATION, will introduce the men of that new series, THE PLAYERS CLUB.

Review:

As far as shorts go it was good, but not great and way too predictable. The only surprise was the lie told about the previous assistant. Chloe Kane is a good writer. I did like the story and if you come across it definitely read it. I am just saying there is better out there for me.

LEANN'S REVIEW: Heart Break Proof (William Goode & Michelle Roy)

Title: Heart Break Proof

Authors: William Goode
                Michelle Roy

Format: ARC

ASIN: B00F135SB2

Published September 6th 2013 by WildBirds Publishing

Source of copy: William Goode

Summary:

When Marie finally wrote back to Andrew, he truly learned how words can seduce, corrupt and inflame. The stories Marie and Andrew now make up, trading e-mails, consume them. They begin a passionate affair, and their deepening obsession with each other penetrates their writing. Then the stories take over and change everything. Oh, and the bit with the shoe is freaking wild. Fun, well-told, intelligent and absorbing, Heart-Break-Proof is about words that bind tighter than any rope. (Actually, there are ropes in this book too. But mainly words). So, be careful what you read. For a free preview of Heart-Break-Proof (first 3 chapters), check out http://heartbreakproof.com.

Review:

Lets start off by saying that I loved this story. The back and forth was really interesting to read. I was devastated by the ending of this book. What a cliff hanger! I truly hope there will be a follow up to answer my questions.

The characters were well written with great back story. This book gives these two characters the perfect opportunity to put there fantasies out there for another person. In the meantime they create a romance that you would think is unbreakable.

I really enjoyed the plot as well as the characters. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I really did enjoy this read. It was a nice smooth read that kept me turning pages. I love that Marie is an attorney. I personally see attorneys as straight laced. It was very fun to read this story to find that this particular attorney is anything but straight laced.

So with a fun and sexy read, that is relatively tame for an erotica, I was completely lost in the pages.
