Coyote shifter Mercy Thompson knows that life with her mate, the Alpha werewolf Adam, will never be boring, but even their wedding doesn't go as planned. Nevertheless, a ten-day honeymoon camping on the banks of the Columbia River, alone, just the two of them, should make up for it. But the trip - and the pimped-out trailer they're using - is courtesy of the fae. And nothing from the fae comes without strings attached...

Being a different breed of shapeshifter - a walker - Mercy can see ghosts, but the spirit of her long-gone father has never visited her. Until now. An evil is stirring in the depths of the Columbia River - and innocent people are dying. As other walkers make their presence know to Mercy, she must reconnect with her heritage to exorcise the world of the legend known as the river devil...

Review:

A wedding and a Honeymoon! But this is Mercy Thompson we are talking about so of course some supernatural issue is about to happen! This time its the fae again. And again Briggs does not disappoint. This book is full of Mercy action.

I love the relationship Adam and Mercy have together. We learn a little more about Mercy's heritage and meet some new shapeshifters. I always love the covers on these books. They seem to be so fitting for the story with in. I can not say enough about this series. I love the supporting characters (even though we don't see much of our favorite supporting characters).

This book is a little different from other Mercy books however. This book is mainly about Adam and Mercy and Mercy's heritage. So like I said very little of our favorite supporting characters. But I loved this different direction. The action didn't suffer and neither did the story line. A great read!
