A kiss doesn’t mean eternity . . .Valerie Moyer doesn’t believe in vampires—until she is kidnapped by a fanged psychopath! After escaping her bloodthirsty captor, she’s through with creatures of the night. Until she finds herself under the protection of the darkly handsome Anders. Not only is she expected to accept that Anders is immortal, but also that she is the woman destined to be his life mate!

. . . Or does it?

Anders felt a connection to Valerie from the moment he cradled her bruised body in his arms. But before he claims her, he must destroy the vampire who almost stole her from him forever. His job would be easier if Valerie didn’t fight him every step of the way. Still, Anders loves a challenge, and the green-eyed beauty is worth fighting for!

Review:

I didn't know what to think about this book. It was gaming night for my husband and his friends and he knew I would be board so he bought me a book while shopping. I had not read any books in the Argeneau Novels and this was the last book written. I didn't really want to read them out of order but I was board so I did. I absolutely love it. It was one of the best books I had read in a while.

I loved Anders the tall, dark man of few words who is always to late to save his damsel. I fell in love with so many of the characters. It was hard not to with this well written story. I loved the twist of vampires or immortal. It was such a fun and humorous read. The start was so suspenseful and had you on the edge of your seat routing for Val to escape.

A great leading lady, strong and a survivor who has the vampire's eye, it's a great read. Even though it was the latest book it still had the background info to keep you in the loop of the series. This is the book that lead me to read all of the Argeneau books and I am eager for the next installment. I have to say if its an Argeneau book it is a must read.
