Tracie
Podger currently lives in Kent, UK with her husband and a rather obnoxious cat
called George. She’s a Padi Scuba Diving
Instructor with a passion for writing.
Tracie has been fortunate to have dived some of the wonderful oceans of
the world where she can indulge in another hobby, underwater photography. She likes getting up close and personal with
sharks.

THE INTERVIEW
TWINS- Where is your favorite place to go in
the summer?
TRACIE- If I’m in the UK then Devon and Cornwall are wonderful places with
such beautiful beaches and of course, full of Australian surfers. I have such lovely memories as a child
spending days on the beach and nights around a bbq and even as an adult, I
always enjoy this part of the country.
TWINS- What is your dream summer destination?
TRACIE- As I’m also a scuba diving, most holiday
destinations have to include a wonderful ocean.
I would love to visit Bora Bora, French Polynesia and those areas but, I
guess, I’ll
have to wait for that elusive lottery win first.
TWINS- What is your favorite summer activity?
TRACIE- Relaxing in the sun, scuba diving and spending time to just read. I have a fairly large family and a gathering
in the garden with the bbq on also has to be one of my favourites.
TWINS- Swimming or sun bathing?
TRACIE- Both. I love the ocean
and there is nothing better than taking a dip to cool down after a hours of so
soaking up the sun. I burn quite easy to
a large tube of waterproof sunscreen is a must.
TWINS- Fishing or boating or both?
TRACIE- Boating. I never got the
attraction to fishing, sorry. Seems a
little bit boring to me. Unless I can
take a good book with me of course.
TWINS- Beach or Lake or Pool?
TRACIE- Ah, a tricky one because I spend a lot of time at all
three! Being a scuba diving instructor
and living in the UK, I teach in a pool and then a local lake but always prefer
the beach.
TWINS- Hiking or biking?
TRACIE- Hiking, providing it’s not too hot of course. I don’t think I could even ride a bike
nowadays.
TWINS- Camping or vacationing?
TRACIE- Both. I’ve has some great fun piling the nephews
in the back of the car and pitching a tent, although I couldn’t do it for any length of time. I’ve always wanted to go to Glastonbury, a
large music festival in the UK but the thought of the mud puts me off. I wouldn’t mind the glamping experience though.
For me, my holiday starts when I arrive at the airport, I’m excited and love the shopping! Visiting a new country, experiencing their
culture food and of course their wines is always a pleasure.
TWINS- In your opinion what is the sexiest
summer wear on a man? woman?
TRACIE- I’m
not the slimmest I could be and at 46 years old, I’m too old to care! I’m more than happy in a bikini and I don’t think it should matter what size you
are, wear what your comfortable in. Confidence is the most sexy thing a woman
can wear. For men, it has to be board
shorts!
TWINS- What is your go to summer read?
TRACIE- Anything as long as it has a good story and can entertain
me. With long hours to just relax and do
nothing, I want a book that I will fall into, one that will keep me absorbed
for hours. It can be sexy or a thriller,
I don’t
mind.
TWINS- Since it is summer and we love steamy
reads for summer, what is your favorite steamy summer read?
TRACIE- My favourite steamy summer read - oh, hard question. I would have to say my own of course ;) There are so many great writers and I am a
big supporter of indie authors. I enjoy
reading books by Jasinda Wilder, who has a great new series being
released. I can’t honestly say I have a favourite
book. There are books I will re-read
because I enjoy them so much but each month a new book grabs my attention and
they are all my favourite for the time it takes to read them.
TWINS- Where do you prefer to read in the
summer?
TRACIE-On the beach, around the pool, in bed. With the new e-readers now, you can sit in
the blazing sun and still see the screen, so I’ll read anywhere.
TWINS- When you think summer what is the first
thing to come to mind?
TRACIE- Mojitos and Pimms and scuba diving and whalesharks. I love the smell of freshly cut grass and
running barefoot in the sand. To hear the sound of waves crashing against the
shore is wonderful. Summer brings so
many things to mind for me. I was born
in July so, as a summer baby, I guess I love all things about the season.
TWINS- Have you ever had a summer fling/love?
TRACIE- Not telling, but I did write a book about it ;) A Virtual Affair will be released in 2015.
TWINS- What is the sexiest way to travel in the
summer? (type of car, motorcycle, bike)
TRACIE- Car with the roof down, motorcycle, horse even! I want to hire a VW camper van and head down
to Cornwall for a bit of surfing this year.
