Review:
Wowzers! This is a super fast read, but holy mother of books its a hot read. If you love the Black Hollywood crew, you will love this read. It is super sexy and super quick. I usually don't love short stories, but this read felt anything but short. Don't get me wrong I wanted more, but this story was packed with so much it didn't feel like a short to me. I loved the multiple POVs. They were written very well and I enjoyed hearing from all my favorite characters. Truly a great read and one that I highly recommend.
Rating:
I scan the group and notice all the veterans up front and ready to go. Their outfits are pristine and perfect. I really don’t need to do the review but I can’t show favoritism. Wondering where my newbie is, I take a few more minutes to look out at them before continuing.
“Have #fun, flirt, but no fraternizing with the guests. There is a zero tolerance rule for that. If you feel uncomfortable with anyone please,” I stress, “please, let me, Terrance, or any of the other security guards know immediately. Does everyone have their nail polish on?”
A round of yeses flow through the room and the girls shift. That’s when I see her. The dark haired beauty with the violet eyes at the back of the room. She has a deer in the headlights look about her and I know she has no idea what I’m talking about. When her eyes catch mine, she glances away quickly. Shaking off my initial draw to her, I continue with my boring speech of who’s who and who is considered VIP tonight. I find myself trying to catch her eye again while I’m talking.
I am a mommy of two, wife to an amazing man, and full time employee. Life is crazy and busy! I started writing again for a group of women I met who shared my love for books. They brought back the passion for writing I haven’t seen since high school. Starting this process was tedious and nerve-wracking, but my amazing ladies and my fabulous husband have inspired me to take my love for writing to the next step.
